Our university offers 17 technical careers, 7 Bachelor's degrees and 6 Engineering degrees with high labor demand, immediate incorporation to the productive sector, business incubator, technology in our 44 specialized laboratories, various mobility options, certifications and an updated job bank.

As an integral part of the education, the students carry out cultural and sports activities that allow them to develop important skills and competencies for dynamic and fun university integration, which will produce a balanced and healthy life in the future. In the same way, the students receive medical services, psychological counseling, tutorials and classes in English and sometimes French completely free, as part of their academic program.

Furthermore, the university is concerned with updating and strengthening the knowledge of students and professionals, that is why the university offers to students, companies or other institutions, courses of evaluation, training and certification of competencies. This thanks to the fact that we are a certifying body of competencies.

The university promotes student, teaching and administrative mobility through various actions, in order to strengthen the professional profile and quality of the university's academic training, promoting diversity and intercultural understanding through knowledge of new practices and experiences. Students have various options to participate in the mobility and internationalization programs offered by UTM thanks to its various agreements. Through these programs, the student and the academic body can carry out short stays, professional stays or graduate studies at universities or companies abroad . In recent years, the institution has collaborated in different programs that have allowed the promotion of internationalization and mobility in and out of the university in countries such as the United States of America, Canada, France, Australia, England, Argentina, Haiti, among others.

In 2021, UTM was ranked number 94 out of 541 according to the Ranking of the best universities in Mexico by 4ICU.org and in 3rd place in the public universities of Mérida.
