Through the Training Programs, UTM offers foreign or national students the opportunity to live an experience full of learning, culture and fun. Allowing them to develop their confidence and security in pleasant surroundings.
Options of Mobility Exchanges
and Internationalization
The flexibility of the programs offered, makes it possible to choose different mobility options and integrate them into the same experience. For example, a Language course in addition to a cultural exchange, or an academic exchange with a professional internship.The duration of the mobility is set according to your needs.

Discover the world of work in Mérida along with tutorials at the University.
Aimed at: Students and professors
Enjoy different workshops (Gastronomy, IT, Tourism, Mechatronics, Maintenance, Fashion production among others) at the University while also participating in short internships in local businesses. Subject to availability of places.
Suggested time: 4 weeks
Internship in a local company.
Aimed at: Students (Undergraduates/ graduates).
Get acquainted with different ways of making businesses through internships in local companies according to your field of study.
Suggested time: from 2 to 6 months.
Language courses.
Aimed at: open to public
Learn Spanish with native speaker professors. You can take only some lessons or a course. The courses could be Intensive, short or long term, and are divided into levels: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
Academic exchange.
Aimed at: Students
Study a term (four months period) or more in one of the programs offered by UTM (Associate’s Degree / Bachelor’s Degree / Engineering).
Highly qualified teachers teach in a dynamic way, achieving quick results and giving special attention to each student. Associate’s Degree courses take place in the morning and Bachelors and Engineering courses in the afternoon. Students join a class and take lessons with local students.
Research exchange.
Aimed at: Students, researchers, professors.

Cultural exchange.
Aimed at: Students, professors, administrative staff.
Experience the local culture through an immersion program which includes cultural and archaeological visits, accommodation with local families, gastronomic encounters and other events. The university offers a range of sports, leisure and cultural activities, as well as trips that allow students to experience the wonderful state of Yucatan and the Mayan culture.
Services can include:
Accommodation with local families to help the development of your communication skills and improve your knowledge of the culture. We select each family carefully in order to provide a total immersion experience, in a safe environment.
Transportation for pick up services to and from the airport to the lodging selection and for the field trips.
